GNR alerted to scam involving fake water analysis visits in the Alentejo

The municipal water company Águas do Alto Alentejo (AAA) warns that scammers are calling residents to schedule "free" tap water quality tests. AAA clarifies that it only enters homes following a formal complaint from a customer, and all legitimate technicians carry company identification and uniforms.

Why it matters

If you are a resident in the Alto Alentejo area, do not allow anyone claiming to be a water technician into your home for a "free test" without verifying the appointment directly with AAA; report any such contact to the GNR immediately.
