Fuel prices skyrocket again and diesel prepares for a new historical high next week

Diesel prices are expected to rise by 15 cents per liter to 2.169 euros, while 95-octane gasoline is forecast to increase by over 10 cents to 2.122 euros. If confirmed, the diesel price will exceed the previous historical record of 2.131 euros set on 6 April 2026.

Why it mattersIf you drive, you will face significantly higher refueling costs starting next week, with a full 50-litre tank of diesel now expected to cost approximately 108.45 euros.
