CIG to receive one million euros for new powers and strategy for Roma communities
The government has allocated one million euros in the 2027 State Budget to the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG). This funding covers the transfer of anti-discrimination, anti-racism, and xenophobia responsibilities previously held by AIMA, as well as the creation of a new strategy for Roma integration and the extension of the National Plan to Combat Racism until 30 June 2027.
Why it matters
