Beira Baixa railway line reopens on September 20 after 3.4 million euro investment

Train traffic on the Beira Baixa line between Mouriscas-A and Vila Velha de Ródão will resume on September 20. This reopening ends the need for the replacement bus services currently in operation for regional and Intercidades trains on this stretch, which had been suspended since March due to storm damage.

Why it mattersIf you use the train for travel between the Entroncamento area and the interior towards Castelo Branco and Guarda, you can resume normal rail travel on this route from September 20, ending the current requirement for replacement bus services.
