Citizens launch manifesto against privatization of CP lines

A group of citizens launched a manifesto on Wednesday, 28 October, opposing the government's plans to grant concessions for suburban train lines—specifically the Sintra and Cascais lines—to private operators. The government's stated intent, outlined by the Minister of Infrastructure in July, is to sub-concede these profitable lines to help fund less lucrative parts of the rail network, with plans expected to be presented later this year.
