5G network to reach isolated areas of 45 municipalities in the Northern region

The 5G.Connect project aims to expand 5G coverage by 25% to 50% in isolated areas across 45 municipalities in Northern Portugal, including coverage for the Douro river. The project involves installing 25 antennas, with work scheduled to begin in early 2027 and completion expected by the end of 2028.
