Yellow weather warning due to heat in effect today in four districts
The weather institute (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures in the mainland districts of Bragança, Vila Real, Guarda, and Castelo Branco, valid until 18:00 today. A separate yellow warning for heat is also in effect for the north and south coasts of Madeira and Porto Santo island, also until 18:00.
Why it mattersIf you are in any of the affected areas, take precautions against the heat and stay hydrated during these peak temperature hours.
