Vila Cova Family Health Unit (USF) temporarily moves to Fragoso

The Vila Cova Family Health Unit (USF) in Barcelos will operate from the former health centre in Fragoso starting Thursday, October 1, 2026, due to renovation works at its original site. The temporary relocation is expected to last three months, with the unit maintaining its standard opening hours of 08:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday.

Why it mattersIf you are one of the 5,400 patients registered at the Vila Cova USF, you must now go to the Fragoso facility for your appointments, as the Vila Cova building is closing for renovations.

Oral version of Wegovy may have more effects than the injectable, company says

Clinical data presented by the manufacturer indicates that patients who switched from injectable Wegovy to an oral semaglutide version experienced an average weight loss of 4.1% over three months. The oral version does not require refrigeration and is currently only available as an injectable pen in Portugal, although reports from August suggested a potential local arrival soon.
