ULS to create specialized medical and psychological assessment centers

The government has authorized Local Health Units (ULS) to establish dedicated centers for medical and psychological assessments (CAMP). These centers will take over the issuance of certificates of physical and mental robustness—required for driving licenses, weapon permits, and other professional or legal needs—from standard primary health centers. The ordinance enters into force on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, though implementation will depend on each ULS developing a project proposal that must be approved by the Executive Director of the SNS.
