Trucks prohibited from circulating on the VCI from the 15th
Starting September 15th, heavy goods vehicles (over 3,500 kg, three or more axles, and at least 1.10 meters in height) are banned from the VCI in Porto and Gaia on weekdays between 07:00 and 21:00. The ban does not apply to trucks originating from or destined for these two municipalities, provided they register via a new digital platform to obtain authorization.
Why it mattersIf you are a logistics operator or a professional driver in the Porto area, you must register your vehicle on the new municipal platform to transit the VCI if your route begins or ends in Porto or Gaia; otherwise, you must use the A41 (CREP) during restricted hours.
