Parliament approved a proposal to reduce IRS tax rates for the first six income brackets to 12.2%, 15.2%, 20.7%, 23.6%, 30.6%, and 34.6%, effective from December. Additionally, a temporary fuel tax (ISP) discount was extended until December 31, and new VAT rules were approved to improve fuel sector traceability.

The draft 2027 State Budget proposes a reduction in total infrastructure investment to €843 million. Rail investment is set at €736 million, including high-speed projects and airport links, while road investment will decrease significantly to €107 million compared to €229 million in 2026.
