Tax authority opens tender to adapt IUC collection to new 2027 rules
The tax authority is hiring a software firm to update its systems for the new IUC (vehicle tax) payment calendar. From 2027, the tax will move to fixed annual dates rather than the vehicle's registration month. In 2027, payments will occur in July and/or October, while from 2028, the schedule will shift to April, July, and October depending on the tax amount.
Why it mattersIf you own a vehicle, you should expect your IUC payment schedule to change starting in 2027, moving from your vehicle's registration month to specific fixed dates throughout the year.
