Setúbal and Évora under orange alert due to thunderstorms and heavy rain
The IPMA has placed the districts of Setúbal and Évora under an orange weather alert until 21:00 today, Saturday, due to the risk of thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail, and wind gusts of 70 to 90 km/h. Nine other mainland districts—Bragança, Viseu, Guarda, Vila Real, Santarém, Beja, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, and Portalegre—are under a yellow alert for thunderstorms until the same time.
Why it mattersIf you are in the districts of Setúbal or Évora, be prepared for hazardous weather conditions including strong winds and heavy rain until 21:00 today; exercise caution when traveling or if you are outdoors.
