Sarmento promises new IRS relief in 2027 with bracket and deduction updates
The Finance Minister confirmed that the 2027 State Budget will include further personal income tax (IRS) relief via updates to tax brackets, deductions, and the subsistence minimum. Meanwhile, the current government proposal to lower IRS rates (0.3% to 0.5% for the first six brackets) is scheduled for a vote this Friday, October 9, 2026, aiming for tax rebates in November salaries.
