RSV vaccination for babies starts on September 16

The seasonal RSV immunization program for infants runs from September 16, 2026, to March 31, 2027. All babies born during this period are eligible for the free, voluntary vaccine, which will be administered at maternity wards and primary health centers. A catch-up campaign runs from September 16 to October 30, 2026, for infants born between April 1 and September 15, 2026, as well as specific high-risk groups born earlier in the year who were not previously immunized.

Why it mattersIf you are a parent of an infant, you should plan to get them immunized against RSV to significantly reduce the risk of severe infection and hospitalization during the upcoming winter season.
