PS and PCP demand measures following fuel price increases in the Azores
Fuel prices in the Azores rose on September 1, 2026, with petrol up by 3.5 cents to 1.854 euros/liter and diesel up by 16.3 cents to 1.885 euros/liter. Butane gas prices also increased by 4.6 cents per kilo. Opposition parties are calling for government intervention to alleviate these costs for households and businesses.
