President signs law banning facial concealment in public spaces
The President of the Republic has promulgated legislation that prohibits the use of clothing designed to conceal the face in public, except for health, professional, artistic, or religious reasons. The law also bans coercing others to hide their faces based on gender, religion, age, or origin, with fines ranging from 150 to 3,000 euros for violations.
