Portal das Finanças to experience service outages this Tuesday

The tax authority (Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira) announced that customs services, including systems related to Special Consumption Taxes (IEC) and Vehicle Tax (ISV), may be unavailable due to technical updates. The outage is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2026, between 10:00 and 16:00.

Why it mattersIf you need to process customs declarations, handle vehicle tax (ISV) filings, or manage special consumption tax documentation on Tuesday, you should complete these tasks before 10:00 or wait until after 16:00 to avoid the outage.
