Port of Sines pays heavy price for railway delays
The Port of Sines is losing 23% of its rail-based container traffic after the operator Medway and the shipping line MSC canceled a daily connection to Seville. This follows further delays to the completion of the Évora–Caia railway line, which is now not expected to be operational until 2028, despite previous government promises of service by early 2027 or earlier.
