PCP fears "aggravated constraints" and injustices for immigrants
The Constitutional Court has unanimously ruled that key norms of the "Return Law" are constitutional, clearing the way for the President of the Republic to either enact or veto the legislation. The law includes measures such as extending the time foreigners can be held in temporary detention centers to 180 days (extendable), potential separation of parents and children, and changing the legal effect of appealing unfavorable administrative decisions from suspensive to non-suspensive.
