OE2027. Technical higher education students ask parliament to keep tuition fees frozen
The government's 2027 State Budget proposal includes unfreezing tuition fees for undergraduate and professional technical courses (CTeSP) starting in the 2027/2028 academic year, adjusting them to inflation. The National Federation of Polytechnic Higher Education Student Associations (FNAEESP) is calling on Parliament to reject this and maintain the current cap of 697 euros, arguing it will increase the financial burden on students and families already facing high costs for housing and transport.
