More than 11,000 vacancies available for the second phase of access to higher education

There are 11,113 vacancies open for the second phase of the national higher education admission process. Applications are open until September 20, 2026, with results expected on September 30, 2026. A third phase will follow from October 10 to 12, 2026.

Over 2,000 teaching positions remain vacant in schools, but minister guarantees availability of teachers to fill them

With one week remaining before the school year starts, over 2,000 teaching positions are currently unfilled. The Minister of Education stated that the government has enough teachers to cover these needs and noted that daily teacher placements will begin on September 18 to reduce the time students go without a teacher. Additionally, the government has formed a working group to create a 'green channel' for foreign students facing residency regularization delays through AIMA when enrolling in higher education.
