Minister of Labour warns that "substantial changes" to the PSU decree may violate legislative authorization

The Minister of Labour warned that amendments proposed by opposition parties to the new Prestação Social Única (PSU) could exceed the scope of the original legislative authorization granted by Parliament. The government argues that the current decree already reflects an agreement between the PSD, CDS-PP, and PS, and maintains that those currently receiving benefits will see no loss in income during the transition.
