Matosinhos beach water now safe for bathing

The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) has authorized swimming at Matosinhos beach again after water tests showed levels of microbiological contamination (enterococci and E. coli) have returned to safe limits. The advisory against swimming had been in place since Tuesday, August 11.

Why it mattersIf you live in or plan to visit Matosinhos, the beach is now officially safe for swimming following the end of the contamination advisory.
