Lisbon's 'Acampada' protest accepts invitation from the President for a meeting
The protest movement occupying Rossio has accepted an invitation from the President of the Republic for a meeting. A local administrative court ruled on 1 November that the 00:30 curfew for this specific protest is not automatic, allowing one protester to maintain a tent in the square until the final vote on the 2027 State Budget on 24 November 2026, provided it coordinates with the planned Christmas Market.
Why it matters
