"It's not worth using scare tactics": Montenegro rejects that new rules loosen rent regulations

Primeiro-ministro Luís Montenegro stated that the government's current proposal on the Urban Lease Regime (Regime do Arrendamento Urbano) is intended to increase market dynamics and reduce prices, not to loosen rent protections. He emphasized that the plan includes higher IRS tax deductions for tenant rental expenses and tax incentives for landlords to put properties on the market.
