Social Security has an increasing number of vacant or improperly occupied properties: they already represent more than 30% of its assets

Over 30% of the Social Security's property portfolio is currently vacant or improperly occupied. Many of these empty units have been undergoing renovation since at least 2023, even as the number of available social rental units declined by more than 7% in the past year.
