“It's like putting a wolf inside the chicken coop”: Secretary-General of the Ministry of Internal Administration dismissed, denounces impossibility of monitoring SIRESP
The Ministry of Internal Administration's auditing body (SGMAI) reports it is legally unable to verify the performance of the SIRESP emergency communications network, yet the state continues to pay 26 million euros annually in compensation to the managing company. The SGMAI states that since the service contract expired in 2021, there are no defined criteria, indicators, or independent validation mechanisms to justify these payments, noting that current reports are produced by the company itself.
