IGAS opened 224 workplace harassment cases in health sector since 2017, but only confirmed three

Between January 2017 and July 2026, the health inspectorate (IGAS) opened 224 cases involving allegations of workplace harassment, with 93% alleging moral harassment, 3.6% sexual, and 3.1% both. Of the concluded cases, only three were officially confirmed, while 106 were not; the inspectorate attributed this to a potential lack of evidence or cases involving general labor conflicts rather than legal definitions of harassment.
