How much can your landlord increase your rent in 2027?
The annual rent adjustment coefficient for 2027 is set at 2.56 percent, based on recent inflation data. Landlords must wait for the formal publication of this coefficient in the Diário da República by 30 October and must provide tenants with at least 30 days' written notice before applying any increase. An extraordinary rent support scheme remains in place for eligible households with a rent-to-income effort rate exceeding 35 percent and annual income below the sixth IRS bracket threshold (€38,632).
