Housing Institute to build 40 affordable rental homes in Bragança

The Institute for Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU) will build 40 affordable rental units at Quinta da Braguinha, with construction scheduled to begin by the end of 2026. This project is part of the municipality's local housing strategy, which also includes the upcoming rehabilitation of 24 social housing units in the Bairro da Previdência and Bairro da Estacada areas.

Owner of Lello building gives Porto mosque one more year if no renovations are required

The owner of the building housing the Mesquita do Porto has agreed to extend the current lease for one year, ending on 31 October 2027, provided that the Porto City Council does not mandate any structural renovations during that time. The mosque community, which currently faces an eviction notice effective tomorrow, 31 October 2026, has stated they have no alternative location.
