Green railway pass in Lisbon and Porto may make Navegante and Andante passes unnecessary

The government is extending the 'Passe Ferroviário Verde' to include urban train lines currently covered by the Navegante and Andante passes in the Lisbon and Porto metropolitan areas. This will allow commuters who exclusively use trains to opt for this single national pass instead of the regional monthly metropolitan passes.

Why it mattersIf you currently use regional monthly passes in Lisbon or Porto solely for train travel, you may soon be able to switch to the national green pass, which could offer a cheaper alternative for your commute.
