Green Rail Pass reaches Lisbon and Porto urban trains in September
Starting between September 16 and 22, 2026, the 20-euro monthly Green Rail Pass (Passe Ferroviário Verde) will be valid on CP urban train services in the Lisbon and Porto metropolitan areas, as well as on the Fertagus line. This allows passengers commuting exclusively by train to switch from more expensive intermodal passes (like Navegante or Andante) to this lower-cost option.
Why it mattersIf you commute using only CP or Fertagus trains, you could potentially save up to 240 or 480 euros annually by switching to the 20-euro Green Rail Pass starting in September, depending on your current route and fare type.
