Government defines conditions for the 2026 fishing industry subsidy
The government has opened applications for a fuel subsidy (gasoline and LPG) for small-scale coastal fishing, small-scale farming, and salt production. Eligible individuals and businesses (SMEs) must apply through the DGRM or the BMar portal by September 15, 2026. The subsidy, which covers expenses dating back to January 1, 2026, will not be paid if the total calculated amount is under 25 euros.
Why it mattersIf you are a small-scale fisher, salt producer, or small-scale farmer in the mainland using gasoline or LPG equipment, you can apply for this fuel subsidy until September 15, 2026, provided your claim exceeds 25 euros.
