GNR and PSP launch nationwide wave of protests in Portugal
Police and GNR personnel are demonstrating today in Lisbon to demand higher salaries, career restructuring, and improved working conditions. This protest is the start of a series of nationwide actions, with a future National Demonstration to be scheduled by the organisers.
Why it mattersThis is a protest movement and not a strike that disrupts services; however, if you are in Lisbon today, expect possible traffic disruptions near the Ministry of Internal Administration and City Hall as marchers pass through.
