Gilberto Mariano ferry to be repaired by the end of the week, company warns
The Atlânticoline ferry Gilberto Mariano has been out of service since August 22 due to a technical anomaly, but repairs are expected to conclude by Sunday, August 30. While passenger-only transport is currently being covered by other vessels, the transport of vehicles remains highly constrained across the Central group of the Azores.
Why it mattersIf you are planning to transport a vehicle between the islands of the Central group (Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico, and Faial) this week, expect significant disruptions and limited availability until the vessel returns to operation.
