Fixed taxi fares at Lisbon airport to take effect

Fixed taxi fares from Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport begin on Thursday, set at 16 or 19 euros depending on the zone for weekday daytime hours, and rising to 20 or 23 euros at night, weekends, and public holidays. Zone 1 covers areas such as Alvalade, Olivais, and Parque das Nações, while Zone 2 includes central and western parishes like Belém, Benfica, and Estrela. Although the rules take effect immediately, full operational features such as automated license plate barriers and information panels will not be fully in place until early November.
