Fire in Torre de Moncorvo has spread to Carrazeda de Ansiães
A wildfire that began Saturday in Torre de Moncorvo spread into the neighbouring municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães on Sunday. As of 22:50 on Sunday, there are two active fronts, with 318 personnel and 105 vehicles deployed to protect homes in the villages of Pinhal do Douro, Coleja, and Lousa.
Why it mattersIf you are in or near the municipalities of Torre de Moncorvo or Carrazeda de Ansiães, stay away from the active fire areas and follow all instructions from the GNR and civil protection authorities.
