Euribor rates rise again at 6 and 12 months to new highs since November and August 2024

The 6-month and 12-month Euribor rates climbed to 2.936% and 3.312% respectively, marking their highest levels since late 2024. The 3-month rate also rose to 2.664%, following the European Central Bank's 25-basis-point increase in key interest rates last Thursday.

Why it mattersIf you have a variable-rate mortgage, your monthly interest payments are likely to increase at your next reset, as the majority of variable-rate home loans in Portugal are indexed to these rates.
