ERSE proposes 1.5% increase for regulated electricity tariff for 2027

The energy regulator (ERSE) has proposed a 1.5% increase in the regulated electricity tariff for 2027 compared to current prices. While the energy component faces pressure from wholesale market price rises due to gas costs, the overall impact on consumer bills is mitigated by a significant reduction (up to 13.7%) in network access tariffs for all consumers, including those in the free market.
