"Empresa na hora"? Only in a few months. Commercial registries have more than two thousand days of delay
The "Empresa na Hora" service, intended for near-instant business registration, is facing severe systemic delays at the Institute of Registries and Notary (IRN). Appointments at many registry offices (conservatórias) are currently unavailable for months, with some locations showing no availability at all on the SIGA portal. Additionally, 59 offices report conditioned service hours throughout August and into September, further restricting access to registration and civil services.
Why it mattersIf you are planning to incorporate a business or need other registry services, expect significant waits for appointments or limited operating hours; you may need to check the SIGA portal well in advance or consider alternative locations, as same-day service is currently functionally unavailable in many parts of the country.
