Electricity sector tariff debt expected to fall to 552 million in 2027

The energy regulator ERSE projects that the electricity tariff debt will drop to 552 million euros by 2027, the lowest level since 2010. Separately, ERSE has proposed a 1.5% increase in regulated electricity prices for January 2027, which, when combined with the price hike implemented on 1 October 2026, results in a 3.7% annual increase for 2027. Final tariffs and prices for 2027 are expected to be published by 15 December.
