Did not vote? Learn how to justify your absence
Brazilian citizens living abroad who did not vote in the recent election must submit a justification to the Electoral Justice to avoid status issues. The justification can be submitted via the e-Título app or the 'Título Net' portal until December 3, 2026. If there is a second round, a separate justification must be submitted by January 8, 2027.
Why it mattersIf you are a Brazilian citizen living in Portugal and did not vote, you must justify your absence by the deadline to ensure your electoral status remains regular, as this is often required for essential services like passport renewal.
