Court rules in favor of housing activist's protest tent in Lisbon

A Lisbon Administrative Court ruled that Renata Cambra may maintain a protest tent at Praça D. Pedro IV (Rossio) as part of her demonstration for the right to housing, explicitly recognizing it as a symbol of the cause rather than a mere campsite requiring a permit. The court also declared the enforcement of a mandatory end to protests at 00:30 unconstitutional. The authorization for the protest, including overnight stays with the tent, remains valid until 24 November 2026.
