Coimbra approves reorganization of over 20 bus lines for 'metrobus' entry on September 10th
Coimbra's municipal transport service (SMTUC) will reorganize over 20 bus routes, including lines 4, 5, 5T, 6, 6F, 11, 16G, 19, 19A, 19T, 19R, 24, 25, 25T, 27, 27F, 28, 28F, 29, 30, 30A, 30T, 30F, 36F, 42V, and 103, starting September 10th. The changes coincide with the 'metrobus' system extending its service to Coimbra-B and Praça da República and include significant traffic flow adjustments in the Baixa district.
Why it mattersIf you use SMTUC bus services in Coimbra, your regular route may change or be reconfigured from September 10th to accommodate the new 'metrobus' system, which will also alter traffic patterns in the city center.
