Chega demands cut in ISP tax after fuel price increase

Effective today, Tuesday, September 2, fuel prices in the Azores have risen: 95-octane petrol increased by 3.5 cents to 1.854 euros/liter, while road diesel rose by 16.3 cents to 1.885 euros/liter. Butane gas also increased by 4.6 cents per kilogram, and diesel for agriculture and fishing sectors has seen price hikes. The regional government maintains it is already at the minimum legal tax limit, while opposition parties are calling for adherence to a previously approved legislative recommendation to further reduce fuel taxes.
