Caixa Geral de Aposentações to correct 3,000 pensions granted between May and August
The Caixa Geral de Aposentações (CGA) will adjust 3,000 retirement pensions issued between May and August 2026 due to a calculation error. Affected retirees will receive, on average, 93 euros less per month than initially communicated.
Why it mattersIf you are a retiree receiving a pension from the CGA, check your bank statement and future notifications carefully, as your monthly pension amount may be significantly lower than what you were originally told due to this recalculation.
