Bragança and Vila Real districts under alert due to heat and thunderstorms
The IPMA has issued yellow warnings for both heat and thunderstorms in the districts of Bragança and Vila Real. The thunderstorm warning is in effect today, August 15, from 15:00 to 21:00. The heat warning is in effect until Monday, August 17, at 21:00, with high temperatures also expected to impact all mainland districts except Faro starting Sunday.
Why it mattersIf you are in the North, be aware of potentially severe weather including thunderstorms, hail, and high temperatures that pose a risk to outdoor activities through Monday evening.
