Beira Baixa line resumes circulation today on the Mouriscas-A to Ródão section
Train services on the Beira Baixa line between Mouriscas-A and Ródão resume today, Sunday, 2026-09-20, following repairs to damage caused by storm Kristin earlier this year. Full service for Regional and Intercity trains across the entire line, as well as freight transport, is restored, ending the need for substitute road transport.
Why it mattersIf you travel on the Beira Baixa line (connecting Entroncamento to Guarda), train services are now fully operational, meaning you no longer need to rely on the substitute bus services that were in place during the repairs.
