BE considers TC decision an 'important setback' but maintains opposition
The Constitutional Court (TC) ruled that the new law regarding asylum and the return of foreign citizens is constitutional, including provisions for the detention of minors and the deportation of foreign parents of Portuguese children. The President of the Republic now has 20 days to either enact the law or veto it.
